Scholastic Book Fair at ILMS
October 7-10, 2008
ILMS will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair this year to coincide
with our Fall Festival.
The week of the book fair, Building 2 will be set up as a temporary
book store and it will remain there until the end of the week. The "book
store" will be open during
the hours listed in the table below.
We have done this in the past
and our families were able to purchase wonderful quality books at a
very low price. In addition, our classrooms benefit because we are
able to expand our classroom libraries and earn cash credits for the
school based on the book fair sales.
Book Fair hours
- Friday, October 3

all carpool times. Parents are encouraged to invite family, friends
and neighbors to shop too!

Volunteer to help

if you would like to volunteer your time to set up, work in the fair,
or pack up books. We could use your help!
Teachers' wish lists for books
The teachers from each classroom will
also have a “wish
list” that
parents may choose from if they want to give books to their child’s
class.
Donations to non-profits for kids
Scholastic is also sponsoring “One for Books.” This
is a wonderful way for our school to increase our book fair revenue
and help the following organizations:
- Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc.
- National Center for Family Literacy
- Toys for Tots
Scholastic will donate one book to these organizations for each $1
we collect during our ONE FOR BOOKS campaign. In addition, our school
is able to use ALL the collected monies to purchase books to expand
our schools' libraries AND these book purchases count toward our final
sales and cash awards from Scholastic! This is a Win-Win-Win Fundraiser!!
