Lower Elementary Classroom
Student Supplies List
In addition to the $75.00 material fee, your child will need the following supplies
at school. You may drop these off before school starts if you
like. The ILMS Office is open from 9:00 am–1:00 pm Monday through
Friday.
Shoes and Slippers
To keep our new floor clean and beautiful, I ask that we all remove
our street shoes and put on soft, comfortable slippers upon entry into
our classroom. Please send your child with these extra slippers to
keep at school. Make sure to avoid slippery soles.
If your child
enjoys wearing dressy shoes to school, please bring an extra pair of
tennis shoes to be kept at school for times when the children
go outside.
Extra Clothes
Please send in a change of clothing for your child in a labeled giant Zip-Lock bag. Consider that as the
seasons change, you might want to replace these clothes with those
appropriate for the season. These clothes will be returned to you at
the end of the school year. Please bring to school the following items:
- Underwear (2 pair)
- Socks (2
pair)
- Outfits (2 sets)
- Shoes (1 pair)
Snack and Lunch
For the 2009/2010 school year: Ms. Bee is requesting that each student bring their own morning snack in their lunch box. This will insure that each student will have a snack that they will enjoy, and will save the parents money by not having to provide for the entire classroom.
She is requesting that the parents provide flowers for the classroom. You will be notified when your week is approaching.
Canvas Bag
Each student also needs a canvas bag . This bag will
be sent home on Friday with your child’s work and important messages
from the school. Please check you child’s bag each week. We also
ask that you send the bag back to school by Thursday of each week.
The bags are packed on Thursday afternoons.
If you would like to purchase a canvas bags with the school’s
logo, please stop by the ILMS Office. The cost of the bag is $15.00.
Standard
Supplies
All of our students will have a phonics/reading workbook this year, and Scholastic News.
The cost of this workbook is included in the Materials Fee . In addition to the reader, Ms. Bee purchases
classroom supplies except for the following items:
- a sturdy 2” binder with metal prongs to serve as portfolio
- an
Artist’s Sketchbook or other type of drawing tablet
- a book
for your child’s leisure reading, to be kept
in cubby
- a lunchbox
- a water bottle for daily use in the classroom
- a school bag (not a backpack, as she does not have room for them this year) This is a simple canvas bag ( 10" X 14") which you can purchase in the office with our logo ($15) or a plain one at Walmart.
